You do realize what you are proposing to do is misrepresent your information? You do also realize that if you do so, not only can your PR application be denied, but you can be banned from applying for any kind of visa for another 2 years? Do you really want to be separated from your husband for up to 6 years because of trying to hide the truth?

Answer ALL questions truthfully. Do NOT attempt to "fudge" or change the details of your marriage to cover up a previous attempt at withholding information! You may be asked to explain why you did not mention your husband on your student visa application. If that is the case, be truthful. They are used to people not telling the whole truth when applying for temporary visas! They might be willing to be lenient, but I can almost guarantee you they will NOT be understanding if you LIE about your marriage details by commission instead of just by omission.

The rejection of any application, whether you tell the truth or not, is always a possibility. That possibility is even higher if you lie, especially outright. Tell the truth, and deal with whatever happens. I can almost guarantee you it will not be as bad as what will happen if they find out you lied to them more than once, especially not just by omission, but by giving false information.

Here is something I learned as a child and have never forgotten: Speak the truth, and speak it ever, cost it what it will. He who hides the wrong he does, does the wrong thing still.

As a prospective immigrant, the Immigration Act and Regulations place a duty on you to answer ALL questions honestly. The consequences of failing to provide all information required can be severe, but the consequences for providing false information are harsh.

I'm going to say this again, in case it didn't register the first time: It takes 2 YEARS for an application to be processed in Islamabad, and after waiting 2 years you could find yourself rejected and banned from re-applying for 2 YEARS. That's 4 years. Your husband would then have to re-apply to sponsor you, and you would have to wait another 2 YEARS for the new application to be processed. That's 6 YEARS of separation from your spouse. Do you have 6 years of your life to gamble with?

Tell the truth.
