Hello!

I am looking for information on my situation.

Back in 2014 (when there was no express entry but only FSW), I had applied for Canada PR and my application was approved. I even had Canada one way entry visa stamp and only thing had to do is enter Canada and collect the PR. In the mean time I got married. I was informed to add my wife as dependent. I ended up adding her by completing all the requirement. We were almost done but then we had a newborn child . I was again asked to add the child as dependent. My patience gave in and I decided not to follow up.
I got rejection email in july 2017 stating that we did not follow up with on time medical report submission.

Now fast forward in 2018, we have decided to attempt Canada PR once more. Do you know if there will be any restrictions in applying with Express entry? Will my previous application be any kind of help or hindrance?
I was not able to find this information anywhere so decided to see if you guys have any information. It will be very kind of you.

Also, being new to the express entry - what is the usual processing time 1) the time you submit application to ITA 2) from ITA to approval?

Much appreciated!

Thanks guys

No restriction. But you'll have to declare that you've applied for PR in the past and the application was rejected.

To start off, you create an EE profile with your basic information and your CRS score is calculated. This is NOT an application. When you can expect to receive an ITA is dependent on your CRS score, if your score is high enough, you are looking at one or two weeks, or even days to receive an invitation. Once you receive an ITA you have 90 days to fill out forms, gather documents and submit an actual application. The average processing time is 6 months from the date you submit your application.
