Canada Points for migration

Hi Guys

My name is Vineeth. My wife and me are planning to migrate to canada. Since im 30 years old and my wife is 25 years old, my wife will be primary applicant. She got 4+ years of work exp. i have 7+ years.
My wife got band 8 in Ielts and i got band 7.
My wife has a bachelors degree and i have got a diploma in EE engineering and Bachelors in Business Administration. both are 3 year course.

When we calculated our scores its coming upto 437. do you guys think we have a chance to get through ?
we havent given to ECA yet coz waiting for some docs.

we both are in Dubai and originally from India. we got no one in Canada as relatives or any job offers.

Pls help us. dont know if we calculated our scores correctly

you are more or else correct.. I can say that I used to have same points without job offer... just create ur profile. you might get province nominations. as both of you are educated

The score seems correct with your wife being primary applicant. However if you could have scored Band 8 in IELTS and if your diploma is after 12th, then you will have higher score.

Two degrees get more points than one bachelors, which may compensate for your age. Also, if either of you have CLB 9 or 10, you may get additional points.

437 is on the border. The lowest recent cutoffs have gone are 440. If you can improve your IELTS score by a little bit, you may see a lot of points.

The score seems correct with your wife being primary applicant. However if you could have scored Band 8 in IELTS and if your diploma is after 12th, then you will have higher score.

Then you should get CLB 8 in IELTS and get ECA for your education. With Double Bachelors degree or what its called "Two or more certificates", you can claim more CRS.

Why after 12? It can be any post-secondary credential which is evaluated as at least 1 year Canadian equivalent credential.

Then you should get CLB 8 in IELTS and get ECA for your education. With Double Bachelors degree or what its called "Two or more certificates", you can claim more CRS.

How come clb 8 will help? He already got clb 9 in Speaking and Reading, clb 8 in listening and clb 7 in writing. If he want to be primary applicant then isn't it clb 9 in all modules combined with two post secondary credentials and 3 years experience will get him extra skill transferability points?

If you improve your IELTS score to L8, W7, R7, S7, you can become primary and get a lot more points. Even with your wife as primary, increasing your IELTS score will help you get over 440.
