hi everyone,

We wish to seek some good advice from this good community. Me and my fiancee are planning to migrate to Canada, but we're stuck in deciding which option should we press the go button. Is it good to just do it by our selves or it is better to go for consultants? another thing is, if we apply online at the same time seeking the help of a consultant will it cause confusion of application in the govt side? like double applications?

thank you so much for helping in advance! God bless!

There is only one way to apply - online. If you go with a consultant, that consultant will submit an online application for you (you won't submit anything). Most people here do it themselves. If you want help, I would strongly recommend going with an immigration lawyer rather than an immigration consultant.

thank you so much for the reply! Actually we're really clueless on how things should be done and what should be done first. That is why we try to seek answer in any sort to fill in the blanks. I think it will be more expensive to seek help from lawyers compared to consultants.

The first-page posts in these 2 threads are good jump-off points:

Then you should take the time to read the IRCC pages and the rest of the forum (well, not everything, but enough to get the gist):
