Hi
My wife and I are planning to land in April. Our immigration is through Quebec. We are not planning to reside there immediately. We shall travel for 2 weeks, then return to our home country to settle everything before actually residing in Canada in about 1-2 years time.
I have a few questions though, and would be very grateful if someone could answer me
Thanks so much for your help
Much appreciated

I have a few questions though, and would be very grateful if someone could answer me
- What are the correct/legal things to do since we shall only be landing but not initially residing? Do we apply for a Medical card, or would that be illegal?
- Our POE will be Montreal Quebec. However can I register a permanent address in Toronto, and receive my PR card in Toronto?
- I was told that if we give birth in Canada, our child would be a Canadian citizen. Would parenting a Canadian citizen outside of Canada enable us to retain our PR status, even if we were not physically present in Canada for 2 years in the last 5 years?
- Since we are planning to reside in Canada at a later date, how can we ensure that our money that we bring in at that later date is not taxed?
Thanks so much for your help
Much appreciated
