Hi,

This is a question:

1. As per employment criteria to get 50 points a person should have 1 year work experience(30 hours for 52 weeks = 1520 hours).
My company has 40 hours policy which mean I will complete 1520 hours in 39 weeks or 9.75 months.

Do you think this means I can say "yes" in the question "Have you complete one year work in canada??"

Which work permit are you on ? Closed WP or Open WP ? If it is Open WP, does it have an LMIA approved ?

1. No, you have to have worked for a calendar year, and have 1560 hours @ 30 hours per week.

If you see the attached snapshot it highlights that IRCC does not count working hours beyond 30hr/week. So just complete your 12 months and be eligible to gain these 50 points...

In addition is your employer willing to give you a statement in you letter of reference that you will have this job offer valid for at least one year after the issue of permanent resident visa ?

Thank you for the reply.

I have one more question

I started working on workpermit from Sept 2017 but went back to my home country in Dec 2017 and came back in April 2018..
When I was in my home country I was paid home salary and not CAD.

Does it mean I complete one year this september or have to wait free more months

1, You need continuous work in Canada, the time you were outside Canada doesn't count, and there is a very good chance that IRCC will not count the time prior to April with a 4 month gap.

Thank you, all the answers are helpful. I was hoping to get points based on my work criteria but looks like I have to do something else to increase the points.
