Canada accomodation proof for parents visiting Canada

I am in work permit and I am hoping to bring my parents to visit canada. There is a part where we have to show address. My parents want to stay in a hotel. Should they book the hotel room for the full stay and show in the application or wait till they get approved. I am really confused about this step.
