Hi all,

has anyone done this? Submit your spousal application without a police check, and once sponsor is approved and pr app is sent to VO, you send the pcc. I was wondering if this would save you time, and if it's even allowed. The reason is pccs from certain countries can take over 2 months if you are not living in that country.

Thanks!

From my understanding, they keep stressing that everything must be sent in at once. You might risk it by doing that and they can send your application back.

thanks, I guess this is not allowed. Does anyone have any other experiences?

we applied inland, and when I submitted my applications I only had NBI and then after stage 1,they asked me for other police clearance and that's the only time I applied to get it from other country I stayed too and sent it to CIC.

hmm, so I wonder if it's different rules for inland and outland. Thanks much! Any other experiences?

it depends which VO you are applying through

it would be Buffalo( or I don't know how it is since Buffalo is closed)

It's Ottawa now. And, it's VERY STRONGLY recommended that you send it ALL in together. Or else you risk some very timely delays.

ok, I appreciate all of your responses:) I always wondered why they ask that when 1st stage takes 3 months and pccs are valid for .....is it 6 months? Do people normally have to redo them before the process is over?

i think most police checks are valid for 1 year...
correct me if im wrong
but the 2 that we need to get for mexico are valid for one year. so not many people have to get them redone unless they had to appeal the case or something.

im not sure about the usa ones.. but i would think 1 year seems reasonable

most police checks are valid for a year....they just want them received within the 3 month time period.......

Police checks are valid for one year BUT must be received by CPC-M before three months since they were issued.

In other words, if I receive an FBI certificate dated August 28th, 2012, it is valid until August 28th 2013 BUT I must submit my application with this FBI certificate to CPC-M before November 28th, 2012.
