Recently I came to know that if you apply for a PR from within Canada, then you cannot leave Canada until the decision is made. If we leave, then we have to re-apply.
Is this true?
I was told by my attorney that landing could be an issue if you leave Canada and you receive the PR approval email. In that case you need to do the landing via CoPR which is currently on hold. If you are a temporary foreign worker you can return on your work visa but you will have to wait for CoPR for your PR. If you are an inland applicant then you will receive the PR approval email directly and that will be your landing. So, better to seek legal consultation here in my opinion
