Hi there

I applied for PR back in late Sept 2014 from Australia (outland application). I'm still waiting for a decision (request for more Documents received in early Aug 2015). My husband and I had hoped to be in Canada for Christmas this year. I am tossing up the idea of going to Canada to visit for an extended time. It is likely that we will have a decision whilst I am in Canada. With this in mind I am wondering about the following:

-Can I change my address listed with Canadian Immigration to an address in Canada so that I can receive any further correspondence there, including my passport if they required it?. I thought about redirecting mail from Australia but you can't if it is registered post.

If I ask this question directly to Canadian Immigration do you think this would jeopardize my application?

Many thanks for your help in advance.

yes you can.
you can change your address on ECAS.

Mostly CIC/VO would correspondence by email while processing the app and send you COPR to your mailing address on their system.

so if you would stay in Canada until you get your PR, you should change your mailing address to wherever you would stay.

P.S wouldn't jeopardize your file if you would call CIC to ask the question.
