Can we travel through Lufthansa? (Mumbai to Toronto)

Hello guys,
Need to know this for my friend.
He has a valid visa, and wants to travel through Lufthansa from Mumbai to toronto.
1.Have any of you/your friends made the same trip?
2. Are they allowing students to board?

Itinerary details.
1. Mumbai to Frankfurt (LH757) 02.50 am to 08.15 am

2 hr layover

2. Frankfurt to Toronto (LH6676) 10.15 am to 12.35 pm

Actually we did call..but the thing is they are not confirming!
"All eligible visa holders" is what they say.
I posted to see if any student who must have travelled, can share his/her experience with me
