I'm a US citizen and just got approved for my Canadian permanent residency. Because of business and personal obligations, I can't move to Canada until next year. Can I leave Canada immediately after landing? My parents lives in Canada, so they can receive my card when it comes in the mail and then send it to me.

Yes, you can leave, but you should keep the COPR stapled in your passport until you receive your PR card.
