Can Travel on implied visitor status?

Hello Friends,

Can anybody please help me with my concern about implied status,

I am on implied visitor status, I applied for extension of my visitor visa in July 2018.

My application is still in process, In this case can I travel outside of Canada and comeback to Canada while application is still on implied status.

Please help me with my concern.

If you leave Canada you no longer have implied status and your application to extend you visa will become redundant (travel to the US might be the exception to this). When you return to Canada you will be making a new entry.

That is an extremely long processing time for a visitor extension. Very strange. No you can't leave or you lose your implied status.
