I've clicked verify on the form and it successfully validated, but I cannot find a way to sign the form under the signature panel. Is there a problem with the form or just my computer?

I have a screenshot of the document but it seems I can't link it here. In any case I selected the "Highlight Existing Fields" option and there doesn't seem to be a field above the signature line.

The signature will be an electronic one once you submit all your uploaded documents to CIC. You will be asked to enter your first and last names in lieu of the signature.

So proceed with uploading your documents and this prompt will appear once you make the submission.

So should I just leave the field that asks for my signature empty on the form?

Yep. Don't worry about it. Just proceed after 'verifying' the document.

I plan to submit an online TRV application ofr my parent who are currently in my home country. To save time mailing forms and signed copies, I decided to submit an online application.

I knwo that the main application form doesn't require the applicant's signature, however do we need a signature on the other forms like IMM5645, etc?

None of the IMM forms when submitting online requires a signature.
Thank you SImplyaddo !

The family form now has a field for signature but my pdf isn't allowing me to digitally sign it. Any idea why?

Are you guys sure it doesn't require a signature? We were about to send the forms by DHL to my in-laws so they can sign and scan the forms.

I don't see on the website that forms can be only validated when submitting online application.

Note: By signing, you certify that you fully understand the questions asked, and that the information you have provided is complete, accurate, and factual. If you do not sign and date the application form, it will be returned to you.

Edit. If I understand correctly, IMM 5257 does not need to be print, signed and scanned. It should only be validated. However, IMM 5645, IMM 5713 and IMM 5476 all need to be signed and scanned?

Yea do not sign it just validate it and at the end when you upload all required docs you will sign it electonically. Check below

I have seen this question on the Help Centre and I know the whole application is signed online. But my husband was saying he always signed and scanned all forms for his previous TRV applications. Also, we are including IMM forms 5645, 5713 and 5476. Don't they need to be signed? I am just wondering if we have to send forms to my in-laws for them to sign and scan. Thanks for your help.

I am running into the same problem. Can you please let me know if you had to sign the documents or not?

if you submit the application online you do not need to sign documents by hand there is a signature option online after attaching all the docs required if you are submitting paper application then you need to sign all docs
