Hello everyone!
I finished high school recently and obtained a conditional offer to McMaster University.
I am an international student from Bangladesh applying from Middle East.
The reasons for rejections were:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

I'm not sure what these mean and what I did wrong. I submitted all documents they have asked for. For financial proof I submitted my parents bank statement and also showed that I have enough for the University for the first year. My friend, who is from Sri Lanka, has also submitted the same documents as me but they got accepted.
Can someone please help me?

Given that a degree would be 4 years if you could only show enough money for 1 year there would be concerns about how you will fund the rest of your degree. There are other reasons but that is likely one.

I got rejected for the exact same reasons from U.A.E, however the rule clearly states enough tuition and funding for one year how can they then reject on this basis?

Plus the incoming money also shows enough to sustain me throughout my duration at university. Then why would this reason be there?

Have you seen all the financial documents for your friend? Many students are only applying for a 1-2 year program. In the case of a 4 year program you need to show some idea where the funding will come from. I would order the GCMS notes for the full explanation.
