Hi guys. My wife & myself completed our college at Calicut university. Can somebody advise the process a little bit more clearly? Some people saying without going to university we can do WES. But many youtube vlogs saying we need to go through university. We applied for WES on the website. We paid 230 Canadian dollars for us each. Now in university, i saw for transcript the amount is showing 1500 rupees per certificate. My Btech 8 mark list and a degree certificate. So do I have to pay 12000 rupees alone for the transcript? Someone, please guide me.

Different universties charge different amounts for transcripts. Some charge a lumpsum amount whereas majority of money minting universties charge per document basis. So, going by your university, you will have to actually pay 9 × 1500 = 13500 Rs plus postal charges somewhere around 1500 Rs.
Now, your other question that do we need to go to university is again subjective to university. Some universities have started online processing after covid like Punjab University where they receive application through email and fees is paid through NEFT. Some universities like Thapar does it on call after receiving request in email and fees. Some universities like PTU have a dedicated website where all the application process is completed online including fees.
So, you have to go by Calicut University rules and do what they say because its their university and their laws.
