Can someone be part of G5 if he owes money from CRA?

Hi guys,
If someone owes from CRA tax, bank, OSAP..... can I still be part of group five sponsorship?

The Refugee Sponsorship Training Program has lots of good information (in addition to what I assume you have already found on the IRCC site). Only three of the members of the G5 need to actually contribute financially. However, there are other requirements for each member that must be met (eg, all Canadian citizens or permanent residents, living in the area where the sponsored refugees will settle, no serious criminal convictions, etc).

Given your various outstanding payments and loans it would be very tough to show that you could be a private sponsor.
