I applied online for Study permit on Feb 3, they didn't ask me for anything else as I already had valid biometric info. However, two days ago, I received a message from my online account saying they have made a decision about my application and that I need to send my passport to them. I already have a valid visitor visa but assuming it means I got the study permit approved. Also, my wife has TRV visitor visa valid until November this year, will she be able to travel with me? Does she need authorization from IRCC? Let me know what you guys think or if you have a similar case please share it.

PS: my study starts on June 28.

Are you aware that a degree from Canford does not qualify for PGWP? In your previous posts you both say you want t work in Canada or you don't want to work in Canada. Your spouse will not qualify for an OWP. Save yourself money and study this in another country if you don't want to remain in Canada.

Yes I'm aware of that, thanks. But this wasn't my question...

Tough call. Yes she can travel with you but wouldn’t qualify for an SOWP because you are attending a private school. It is unclear what roll the fact you are attending a private school that doesn't qualify for PGWP will play on whether she has issues at the POE, how long she can stay, if an extension gets approved, etc.

Thank you for your reply, all I care is that if an authorization letter is needed or not for her, I have enough money to live and study. And if I had to, I can apply for another school that qualifies for a work permit.

If travelling you she shouldn't but entry to Canada is never guaranteed. It is unclear what roll your private school will play and whether it will factor into something like the ability to get an extension of her visitor status.

did you add her as accompanying in your study permit application form?

coming with you without papers, she will be denied entry

I think people here are more concerned about work permit and not focusing on your question.

Sadly I am not aware if TRV is allowed to enter currently. Better ask a new question just mentioning if TRV's are currently allowed to enter Canada. and what are the requirements. Since your wife did not apply depending n your study. Her documents and all will be considered separately.
