I came here in Canada on Visitor (V-1) visa, my spouse is the main applicant. She has valid work permit in Canada in Toronto area.
I have also approved ICT work permit application for Quebec location, not have work permit document as I came here now on visitor visa.
Now during visitor status, I filed my open work permit application with IRCC and time required to get it may be 2-3 months.
Now meanwhile my ICT employer asked me to join the project, so my current plan is to go back to POE and get my work permit document for Quebec location. After that I will work in Quebec for my client.
Now my question is, once I get my ICT work permit from POE am I still eligible for Open work permit, what will happen to my Open work permit application? will it be approved even tough I have ICT work permit?
I cannot wait for my OWP approval as it gonna take time. The project requirement is very urgent and I need to join it asap however I am very comfortable with OWP as it will allow me to work from my spouse location.
