AOR Received.

I have received my AOR from OINP, but from this forum I can see it it taking forever to process, and that PR through EE is taking longer!

I am applying for jobs and am getting interviews, but how am I supposed to answer the 'when can you start?' Question?

Even though I am in express entry and have OINP application in, I don't seem to be eligible for a work permit.

I am currently in Canada as a visitor as I had no luck getting jobs while I was in the UK.

All this waiting is eating I to my settlement funds.

Any advice greatly received.

I don't see the process of less than a year for you( up to landing). You must go back to your home country and work there.

You can work while waiting for your application to be processed. But you cannot work in Canada if you are on a visitor visa.

Your only choice really is to use the remaining time of your visitor time to network and make contacts then return home and wait it out. You cannot start work until everything has been approved and you have completed a landing, applied for your PR card and SIN.

Even though you cannot answer the when can you start question right now the positive thing is getting the contacts to meet you and at least i guess if any ask that question has to be a positive they could be interested when you get approved .

As previous post the fact you are only a visitor gives you no work rights at all even whilst waiting plus in theory you need to leave the country when reaching 6 months as a visitor assuming you were given 6 when you arrived else overstaying could create other problems later.
