Hi all! My common law partner is Canadian and we currently reside in the Philippines (we are both dual citizens of the Philippines and the respective countries) with the intent of moving to Canada mid-July. I have submitted my application and received my AOR in April 5. If my PR doesn't arrive by July can I wait in Canada for it? Can I just leave Canada and cross the border to do a landing for my COPR? Worse case scenario, if they deny my PR my partner will sponsor me as his spouse so just want to make sure if this is possible?

Any advice would be great! Thank you.

You can come to Canada as a visitor / tourist. You cannot 'move' here until you are a PR. You should be OK entering as a US citizen. Just make sure it doesn't look like you're moving (i.e. don't bring everything you own with you) and ideally be able to demonstrate some kind of ties to the US.
