I'm a Masters's student at the University of Ottawa and I filed for a student permit extension which was received on April 29th. I have to travel to Tunisia so I filed for a visitor visa with my post-graduation work permit. I'm wondering if I can travel to Tunisia and wait to get my visa there from the Canadian Immigration office in Tunisia. I don't know if it is risky to do so since the waiting times are extremely long due to COVID-19. I don't want to be stuck in Tunisia not able to come back to Canada.
Did anyone file for a visitor visa in Canada and then traveled, waited for the visa in another country, and got it from there (during COVID)?
Thanks
