Can I travel to Canada once visa stamping is done or do I need a copy of the work permit as well?

Hi, I have applied for a work permit and have duly submitted biometrics and passport for stamping.

I have received the passport stamped with the W-1 visa. Can I travel on this to Canada or do I need any other document to travel to Canada.

I have been told by my agent that I need to wait for a work permit letter from the government. Is this needed or can I travel?

You can travel. You don't need anything else.
