Can I travel on visitor visa while waiting for my PGWP?

Hi- I have a valid visitor visa till November 2029 and I have applied for my PGWP in May 2022 and need to travel in beginning of August 2022 and will be back in Canada end of August 2022z I wanted to check that I can travel and re-enter and continue working till I receive my approved PGWP?

please please reply as I need to travel and confirm urgently.

Thank you for replying. I have a visa sticker that says type V-1; but it should be fine right? It should not matter if it’s V1, S1 or W1? As they are all considered TRV?

also, do you think that IRCC webpage is enough to show at border, If required or shall I email/ call and confirm from IRCC?

Correct. They will need proof you applied pgwp at the border, you can ask Immigration officer to issue at POE

Hi did you end up travelling? im in the same boat as you

Hi- Yes, I travelled and it was a smooth process. As long as you have a valid visitor visa you are good to go.

So an SW-1 visa with proof of application for my PGWP should be okay, right?

I think so. To be clear, I had a visitor visa and my proof of application. Don't think student visa should be a problem either, based on how i understand it.
