Hi there,
Thank you so much for helping me in advance!
I am a British citizen studying a 2 year design program in Vancouver, and not loving it! I have just completely my first year, next month I will be starting my 2nd year.
My visa states that I can study until April 2020.
This is what I would like to do:
1. Take a 1 year gap, stay and work in Canada during this gap (I have a work permit that runs alongside my study visa)
2. Next September, change my course to a 6 month diploma - Veteranary Technician
3. Get a work permit after that
Can I do this with the visa I am on?
How long will my work permit be after I finish the Vet Tech program?
If not - what do I do?
I also have a boyfriend who is on an open work permit until 2020.
I have to be careful, as these are my own savings and I need to take a gap year to save for the other program as I don't get financial help from my parents or family.
Thank you,
Emma
