I was previously enrolled in a program that was 2 years total including co-op. I did the first 6 months, then switched to owp, now I wanted to keep doing it and graduate if possible.

Not on an OWP. You need a study permit. The TOTAL length of the program must be six months or less in order to be able to take the program without a study permit.
