My PGWP expired Sep 5th 2020 and I had applied Visitor visa to stay longer July 2020. But it took almost 5 months to get my visitor visa..

Problem is I just applied PGWP extensions for an open work permit few days ago but my visitor visa will expire Mar 5, 2020 which is only few weeks left..

Do you think should I restore visitor visa again while waiting for an open permit? Or is it okay to stay until I get the result of work permit application ?
Please help me... !

found this on CIC :
If your status expires
If you apply to extend your stay in Canada before the date you’re supposed to leave, you can legally remain in Canada until a decision is made on your application. In this situation, you have implied status.
