Hi,

I am from UK and would like to apply for immigration but there has been county court judgement against me regarding credit. Could any one advise me if i am eligible for immigration.

Thank you

I thought this line of questioning by you was answered by other members, according to this link:

Anyway, one more time: Usually, a credit judgment is a civil matter and not a criminal matter, and as such should not affect your eligibility for Canada immigration.

However, you should make good on your debt before attempting to leave the U.K. especially, the U.K., as you know how the MI5 and MI6 work - you know that better than I do. You can be extradited at anytime from Canada, and you don't want to jeopardize your future Canadian Citizenship if that is your goal, or even residency after you would have landed - all because of unpaid debts. The Queen is still Canada's ceremonial Head of State.

But you are still eligible for Canada Immigration. Just remember that you have to show your proof of funds, which is currently at the least amount of $10,168 CDN for a single applicant under the Skilled Worker/Professional Program.

Here's a list of offenses that will render an applicant inadmissible for Canadian immigration: http://geo.international.gc.ca/can-am/buffalo/visas/inadmissible-en.asp
