hi guys..can i sponsor only my dad? my income level in 2011 is below the cut off level , so thinking if i sponsor only one of my parents and will sponsor my mom next year...would it work or not?

If your parent accept that option I don't see why not...
but you need to explain to the situation
And also, the time that takes to process their visa is long...
then I believe that this is your best option

Thanks my friend..at least my dad's application will get in..
 
Assuming your parents are still married, you must include both in the LICO calculations even if you are only sponsoring one of them.

Agreed. If your parents are still married, then you need to show income to cover both of your parents even if you are only sponsoring your father.

So if your parents are still together - no, your plan will not work.
