Can I leave the country? (Decision: approved, Waiting forpermit in mail box)

Hi

I was a student, I graduated and applied for a working permit.*
My student permit is ending on November, 10th.
I know I can stay in the country for 90 days while my permit application is pending.
Yesterday I received a message on my account saying my application has received a definitive answer, and my demand has been approved.

I have to attend an event on November, 13th outside of Canada, in the U.S.A. It's after my current student permit has ended.

Hypothesis: I don't received my working permit in my mail box before I have to leave for the U.S.A.

My question: Can I leave Canada for two days and then come back?

I can't seem to find the answer in the guide, help tookit, or anything. I tried to speak to somebody over the phone using this number (1-888-242-2100), but it was packed and eventually I just had a robot to speak to.

Thank you very much!

Hi,

If you don't have a valid visa they won't let you in.
A work permit is not a visa, you still have to apply for a visitor visa after you receive your work permit.

If I were you i would stay in Canada until I get a visitor visa.
