Hi all,
I'm doing my Ph.D. in Canada and there is an opportunity that I can do a year of research at another university in the US as a part of my Ph.D. I need to get the J1 visa for visiting the US and I will not get paid by anyone in the US.
I was wondering If my supervisor and university in Canada approve this, is it legal to do research outside of Canada while I'm on my study permit, maintaining my full-time status, considering that I'm not getting paid by anyone in US
thanks in advance
