Hi! I've been living in Toronto for a bit now and am currently staying in an AirBnB but I want to find my own apartment. My family is very kindly paying for my rent until I get established and settled in a new city. However, my father does not work in Canada.
I do not have an employment letter (I only have a part time job) and would like for my dad to be the co-signor on the lease and he can use his job letter and credit score. In Vancouver, I was never asked for these things.
I see so many international students from U of T who are living in luxury condos so there must be a way for someone not in the country to sign on the lease, but I am at a loss as to how to do this.
Any help would be appreciated.
