Can I extend my post graduate work permit when applying for PR

I did post degree diploma in Canada and got my post graduate work permit for one year. Currently I am working as store assistant manager and planning to apply for my pr by July. My questions are:-
1)can I extend my open work permit when I applying for my Pr? My pgwp will expire by August?
2)if in case my pr application got reject is there any chance that I can continue my stay in Canada

1) You can apply for a BOWP (bridging open work permit) IF you have received ITA and submitted your application for PR. Simply setting up an Express Entry profile does not allow you to extend your work permit.
2) You would either need to get another study permit and return to full time studies. Or find an employer who is willing to give you a job offer and get an approved LMIA so that you can qualify for a closed work permit.
