Hello again all, another post for discussion;
I am trying to find possible ways in which I can try to remain working until my common-law PR application is approved (hopefully) and waiting for OWP to be approved too, which can take months. On the Canadian website, it says that;
"Yes, if your work permit is still valid, you can apply to extend it from within Canada.
You are eligible to apply if you and your employer sign a new employer-employee contract (when the job needs one) and your employer either:
"Your job has been extended
You can apply to extend your International Experience Canada work permit if:
I am still in Canada
I am still within the time of my permit
My employer could be willing to pay the compliance fee
My employer would love to offer me the exact same job, having just undergone intensive management training for said job, they'd want me to stay on in the role.
Is this a possibility?
The only thing that doesn't apply I guess is being on the 'young professional' program. I can't seem to find the UK being on the list of viable applicants. Can I extend my IEC (I have more than 30 days left which the guide specifies), whilst also waiting for a work permit whilst waiting for my common-law PR approval?
Again, bit of a weird one...but I'd appreciate any input.
Thanks!
