Can I establish a Corporation in BC with a temporary work-permit expiring in May 2020??

Hi there,

I am considering to register an Incorporation here in BC with another Canadian partner. Although I have lived in Vancouver for nearly 3 years, I am on a temporary open work-permit expiring on May 2020. I was wondering if I can still open my business and register myself as shareholder.
