Hi there:

I am planning to study at two different schools, one offer courses during weekdays and one offer courses during weekends so I am pretty sure the schedule will work out. They are both Canadian government recognized post-graduate schools and international students in both schools have had no problem apply for study permit.

Therefore, I am wondering if I can study at two schools at the same time? if so, do I have to apply two study permit or just the one that requires longer period to finish the program?

Thank you for your time!

Hi,

I think you'll have to apply for study permit with LOA of one college.
When you arrive here, Take admission on the another college.
But the school in which you'll study on weekends, I think you'll be considered part-time student.
And it's illegal to be a part-time student.
And you can only apply for study permit with one graduation letter.

Why you want it to so messy ?
Complete it one by one. Studies are not so easy

Good Luck

Hi there:

Thanks so replying! I have no idea part-time study is illegal! I thought as long as we are studying in a program that require more than 6 months to complete then I will have to apply for study permit.
They have other international students with study permit as well...but I don't think they are involved in other schools.

I am now in Canada finishing a 4 year post graduate program in June and I am interested in more continuing education. The two school offer complete different programs and I am very interested in taking both of them as it will benefit my future career. I understand it is ambitious, but since the program that takes place during weekend require 4 years to complete the whole program so I really want to minimize the time when the schedule is allowed.

May I ask what "graduation letter" is referring to?

Thank you very much for your time!

Full-time student means taking at least 12 credits per semester.

Graduation Letter - The certificate which you receive after completing the program.
You need to apply for work permit with that letter.
You can start both program.
But you need to study Full-time.
Ask the International advisor in your college.

I see. Guess I should reconsider it.
