Can i apply from India after my Work Permit and Work Visa is expired

I wanted to ask all the senior members whether i can apply from India as my 2 year work permit and visa has expired in end of may. And even though i have applied for an extension, govt of Canada has not issued any new LMO or given me the extension.

I came to Canada in Sep and stay till Dec end and left back to India. I again came back in June, then had to go in 1st September 2013 till 13th Oct 2014 due a death in my family, but my company was paying me the Canadian salary in during sep-oct 2013. I again came back on 14th Oct and was in Canada till 30th April. So overall i have completed 1 full year of Canadian full time experience.

So now ill i need a new work permit and Visa to be eligble to apply for PR under CEC. Appreciate the help from fellow members.

You don't need a valid work permit or visa to apply for CEC. You do not have to be in Canada to apply for CEC.

The requirements for CEC are listed clearly on CIC's website. Please start by reading there.

Your years are confusing - is it like this?

September 2012-Dec 2012 - ~ 4 months
June 2013-1 Sep 2013 - ~3 months
14 Oct 2013 -30 April 2014 - 6.5 months

You'll have to figure out the exact number of weeks, but it looks like you meet the 1 year requirement.

So now ill i need a new work permit and Visa to be eligble to apply for PR under CEC.
