I have a Study Permit valid until June 2017, but I applied for PGWP last week. Does anyone know if I can apply for TRV?

Of course you can do online, but its not mandatory yet.

But if I want to get my eTA based on my Study Permit, I need to upload a letter of enrolment for next semester (which I don't have, as I won't be student any more).
I have a 6-month post-doc contract beginning in January. Under implied status (without eTA) I can stay and work in Canada, but I cannot leave country, is this right?
Any advice?

1. I am wondering how eTA is related to your study permit. All you need a passport that shows you are a TRV exempted.
2. If you are from a TRV exempt country, you can leave/enter Canada on an implied status.

So sorry for misleading, I meant temporary resident visas (TRV), not eTA. I have Iranian passport, and I need to have TRV.

You can apply for TRV only after you have been approved for PGWP. You can't send both applications together.

I dont want to confuse you but as far as i heard ,a study permit becomes invalid 90 days after your study program has been completed. Your program is considered complete when you receive a notification of program completion from your school(http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5552ETOC.asp). obviously if you have applied for PGWP you already received that completion of your program confirmation. So make sure you are in the 90 days period still(regardless of what your permit says).

Cheers

There is no 90 days rule for TRV application, you can apply anytime as long as your permit is valid.
