Can I apply for spouse open work permit while I wait on my PGWP?

Hi,

i have applied for PGWP and waiting for the decision. My study permit has expired. I am currently working in a NOC B job.
Can I apply for my spouse’s open work permit while my PGWP is still awaiting decision or do I have to wait for the result?

You are working under implied status so I doubt you can apply for SOWP as that is issued against your PGWP (which hasn't been approved yet).
Also, you need to have at least 3 pay stubs before you can apply for SOWP based on your PGWP.
