Can I apply for both CEC and OINP at the same time?

Hi experts;
I have got nomination for the OINP and I have successfully linked my application to my online account. Now it is in progress and it shows in my account as permanent residency application.

Now, On December 1st I will be getting 1 year Canadian work experience. So I want apply for CEC. However when I submit the reference code I got from come to Canada tool it is saying that I already have an application ongoing and it is not allowing me to continue with the application.

Also to create a new profile do I have to go through IEC?

Anyone's suggestions and help would be appreciated in this matter.

You can have two applications for permanent residency as long as one is paper-based and the other one via EE.
