Hello. I live in BC and want to apply for PR. But I don’t have enough points neither for CEC, nor BCPNP. I am currently working full time as a production supervisor(sheet metal industry). I will gain 2 years of experience in this profession in June 2024. I have an intent to move to Alberta. Is there any way that I can apply for AINP without having a job there or without living in Alberta?

It will depend on your CRS score and whether your NOC is selected. AINP doesn’t post what NOCs are selected. You aren’t eligible for AOS stream, only Express Entry stream. Intent to move doesn’t give you any CRS points. When does your work permit expire? This is their breakdown in 2023

  • Express Entry Allocations in 2023 (40% of total 2023 allocations) – 3,900
    • Alberta Express Entry Stream:
      • family connection and occupation in demand – estimated 1,220 allocations
      • Dedicated Healthcare Pathway – estimated 75 allocations
      • Accelerated Tech Pathway – estimated 1,750 allocations
      • priority sectors – agriculture, construction, tourism and hospitality – estimated 805 allocations
