Can I apply 2 different categories at the same time?

Dear all

I wonder if I can apply 2 different categories to CIC at the same time? I have applied as the self employed applicant, however the processing time for self employed application is really long, about 6 years. Can I submit another application to the skilled trade category? Does CIC allow such applications?

Can someone share some thoughts about this?

You can apply for the two categories at the same time, but it would be good to apply for the best category.
