Hi all,
I wanted to know if I can receive my PR (once it's approved) while I am on restoration?

I applied for my PR through OINP(under international student category ) in August 2019. And in April 2020 I applied for my Work permit extension but due to covid I couldn't get LMIA exemption number from my employer during that time. So I got a refused for my Work permit extension reasoning that I need LMIA exemption. Currently I am restoration period. Now my employer is working on providing me LMIA exemption but I am not sure if they will do it.

So I wanted to know if for any reason I am not able to extend my work permit or get LMIA exemption, can I receive my PR if it's approved before my restoration period expire.

Or what would be the other options I can go through so my PR application does not get refuse. Can I apply for visitor visa and wait for my PR?

Thank you

Bro I had same issues..so in my case I left Canada and decided to wait for pr from my home country..I am also August 2019 aor

I am still waiting for mr..I applied through bcpnp..I don't think there will be any issue..but you should stop working..and just wait for pr
Ya i have stopped working. But i don't want to go back to my home country.
Do you know if I can I apply for visitor visa?
And what's the status of your PR application. I applied mine on 3 August 2019.

Actually I don't know about my status but it's still processing according to my lawyer..yes apply for visitor visa asap.. because it will take some time to process..if they will ask your status in Canada then you can show them that your visitor visa is in processing..I got aor on August 2nd 2019

Or take some advice from immigration consultant or lawyer.. because your case is complicated like mine..but pr will not affected by this..but still take some advice

Did your lawyer advice you to apply for visitor visa? I have been going to consultants but they all give differnet advice. That's why i came to this forum. if you have any more idea about it please let me know bro. Thank you.
