Can employer deny the Experience when asked by IRCC. Work permit FTS

I am applying for GTS and i was asked to fetch the reference letters from employers
there is one employer that I worked for 5 years ago for 2 years and I asked her about the reference letter which she issued.
but someone told me that she is known for screwing up when other companies call them for feedback or even may be immigration purposes.
she just hates when someone leaves her company and wants to move forward.
Should I include her reference letter or what could be the problems?

Would include your job experience and at least a reference contact. You can decide whether to include the letter. Do you have other proof that you worked for this company for 2 years? Proof of payment from the employer for 2 years, job listed in you LinkedIn, etc.
