My refugee claim was recently deemed Ineligible after C-12. My lawyer said it could take months for CBSA to reach out to me after my PFL response. He also said the officer could decide not to offer me PRRA even if I meet the criteria. Is that true?

Cbsa Do not make PRRA decisions, IRCC does, i help people win their prra application, i know some ways to fight it legally without spending 10k for judicial reviews.

Can CBSA deny me the chance to apply for PRRA even I meet the criteria?
Any reason why you would choose the opinion of forum members over your lawyers? It's CBSA that determines your eligibility and offers a PRRA based on that. If they decide you aren't eligible, you don't get to apply.

yes we know what cbsa is, CBSA and cbsa is not two different organizations. only IRCC determines your PRRA, Cbsa only have the authority to notify, admit and remove people.
Fundamentally wrong. CBSA determines eligibility for PRRA. IRB may make the final decision to accept once you get a PRRA, but CBSA determines your eligibility.

Who can apply
If your asylum claim is ineligible to be referred to the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) or if your asylum claim is rejected by the IRB, you will need to leave Canada. When the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) starts the removal process, an officer will check if you are eligible for a Pre-removal risk assessment (PRRA).

You can only apply for a PRRA if a CBSA officer tells you that you are eligible.

Absolutely wrong!!! Sir, no disrespect, but you need to educate yourself. The IRB has no connection with PRRA. The Immigration and Refugee Board is a completely separate organization and has nothing to do with PRRA.

There is a branch within IRCC called the New Ineligibility Office, and it operates only under IRCC. They are the ones who make the final decisions on PRRA applications.

You are correct about CBSA they determine eligibility for PRRA. However, eligibility and decision-making are two different criteria.

Sorry, that was a typo mistake on my part. Too many acronyms available.
