Thanks for your wonderful support you providing everyone in the forum.

I have one question, my father applied for the TRV (paper application)on Dt 6.Jun.2016 however no reply received yet. VFS status is showing that you application is proceed in Canada Visa office. I tried to link my paper application with online CIC account but when I put all correct information to link, it was saying no such application received.

Please can you advise.

Also my father is retired from education department of Delhi.

The estimated processing time for India applications is 24 days. Maybe the visa office is processing a large volume of applications currently.

Hopefully you'll get a decision soon :)

Yes - it can certainly be more or less than that. Anywhere from a few days to a few months.

Try linking the paper application to the online account for the approved/closed status..... otherwise, you'll have to wait until you get the passport by Blue Dart Couriers tomorrow afternoon

My father visa got rejected with the following reason.

1. Travel history - **he never travel outside India**
2. Purpose of stay - ** he mentioned that he has not see us from last 8 months and wants to spend some time with us during summer breaks of her 6 years old granddaughter.
3. You don't have sufficient fund or assest to carry out your stated purpose in going to Canada or maintaine yourself while in Canada and to effect you departure. - ** we showed paper of property with fresh market valuation from authorized person, amount 75 lac (Approx: 1.5 lac CAD) and 24,750 CAD in saving accounts and FDs. (Around 14,000 CAD in saving bank).

I don't know where were we wrong and what to do next. Although I am getting response from others that first time they reject visa always. Even employee of VFS also said these words while we went to submit the application.

Please advise

No matter I will be getting the approval, or refusal, But will definitely share everything from A-Z after getting the result. :)

Hi,

Sorry to hear your dad was refused. IMO he has a good chance. I think maybe you have not presented his case properly.

1. Please post the complete list of documents which he had submitted

2. How long did he want to visit?

3. Was any of the money in his bank account transferred by you or did he borrow some of it from anyone else?

4. Does your dad live with immediate family: your mom, grandparents, your siblings?

5. Does your dad get any pension? Other retirement benefits?

Cheers
