Hi this is karthikeyan from India.I got admission for masters in internetworking in Dalhousie university with 3 weeks of ESL program for may 2012 intake My profile is ,i pursued my B.E (2010) with 69%(12 backlogs).I have worked as a desktop engineer for 6months and i also pursued my CCNA course(910/1000).I am pursuing my IBM AXI course and going to be certified soon.my IELTS score is 6.0 with no individual band less than 5.5.My query is whether is it possible to get my visa with this qualification especially with this ESL program. plz help me i am waiting for your reply.....thanks in advance......
can anybody help me plzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Hi,
1. To apply under a general visa category (India), you need 6.0 overall band. And you can apply with your score. ESL is a requirement of your school and I hope it has nothing to do with your visa process because you meet the requirement of visa i.e., 6.0 band
2. It's a much better option if you attach:
-ITR details (of yourself)
-Work experience letter on an official letter head.
And finally work hard on your 'Student Questionnaire Form', mention all certificates details. If possible, attach photocopy of all relevant certificates.
@ enfield...thanks for ur reply i heard that visa protocols has become strict nowadays ...so i am panicked about that.the university send me the offer letter with 3 weeks of ESL program because of my low ielts score.my doubt s whether because of this my visa get rejected......

Hi,
You got LOA with 3 weeks of ESL because you are running short of 0.5 overall band. As I said in my last post that you, with 6.0 band, fully meet the requirement of CHC Delhi. I do not see any reason to get worry.
@ enfield .....i accept what you are telling ........but by sept 2011 the visa rules has been changed .i.e the profile with more than 8 backlogs will get rejected........so...........

It's nowhere written as such. To be honest, the only positive thing (and the biggest factor) which I see in your profile is the fact that you are going for a Master degree level course and that's matter a lot.
