I have a question; would CIC find out the phone number of my parents and call them to ask abt the relationship?

Their English is horrible, they can order chicken and beer but that's it lol

You could always tell your parents not to answer the phone & leave a message on their phone: "....'Mom' & 'Dad' will return your call when they return from Swiss Chalet and Brewer's Retail"! But seriously, unless you're a highly suspicious or particular case (like where you have cited financial dependency on them) I don't see how it would be necessary to the CIC's standard decision making process to go to the hassle of finding their number and calling them.

Chicken and beer...at least they've got their priorities in order .

I've never heard of CIC calling family members. Our notarized letters had full contact details for both sets of parents, as well as a few other family members and friends. No calls. If they want to ask anything about the relationship, they'll ask you guys.

If they are asked to make ANY form of payment, tell them to hang up, regardless of what the other person says.
