Calling Canada immigration (CIC) from the US?

I'm not sure if this was discussed here: I have not received the resident card after almost 4 months. I'm still in the US but I provided a Canadian address when I landed. My wife got her card at that address.
Is it possible (and OK) to call from the US in inquire about the card? If yes, anyone knows the number (the regular number does not work from the US as far as I know)?

Thanks,
Robert

Since you cannot use the 1-888 number outside Canada, but you can make a 3 Way call (between you, your wife in Canada and CIC). Here's how:

Or from immipedia http://immipedia.ca/CIC_call_centre

Outside Canada

It is possible to reach the CIC call centre from outside Canada via Foreign Affairs Canada:

I actually logged in here after a long time to post this hoping that this might be helpful to someone who is trying to contact CIC. My friend from the US didn't get his PR card delivered after 2.5 months, so I called the CIC number and added him to a conference. When the officer answered, I put myself on mute and he was able to carry on with the call. Hope this info is of help to someone looking for info on calling CIC/IRCC from the US.

Cheers!
