I have no idea. I live in BC, I googled the Ontario license exchange page for you.Can I take "Valid california AB60 driver's license" for exchange? will they accept that?
Ideally your license needs to be valid but for recently expired licenses also they still seem to be allowing it.Hi,
I am about to move Canada next week from California, would I be eligible to exchange my California Drivers License in Ontario province ? (my california License has expired a week ago.)
Please provide some information on this. Thanks
Also in Ontario for the DL exchange they are asking for the proof that your DL is valid, so you would need to have something like official "Driver History record" from your California DMV.Ideally your license needs to be valid but for recently expired licenses also they still seem to be allowing it.
Great point. Today I went to exchange my Michigan DL issued in June 2018 (2018-2022) and took with me previous expired Michigan DL ( 2014-2018) and even expired 1998 DL from a beautiful BC and expired 1999-2003 DL from Ohio.Yes, you can exchange it if it is more than 2 years old u can get G license directly.
Well, It really doesnt make any senseGreat point. Today I went to exchange my Michigan DL issued in June 2018 (2018-2022) and took with me previous expired Michigan DL ( 2014-2018) and even expired 1998 DL from a beautiful BC and expired 1999-2003 DL from Ohio.
No way, the officer said my current MI DL is less than 2 years old and previous MI DL is not valid (expired) and suggested in order to exchange to full G Ontario to get official letter from Lansing, MI stated the date when the first Michigan DL was issued ( in my case - in 2002) to prove at least 2 years of driving experience.
Make sense or not make sense - it's the Canada, all about regulations.
